Dr. Candice Hayes | Irving
When I was in high school, my father suffered a horrible back injury. As a result, he decided to get evaluated by a chiropractor. Gradually, over time, not only did my father’s pain significantly improve, eventually resolving, but his strength and function also improved. Up until that point, I had never heard of a chiropractor. I didn’t know what chiropractic was, but I wanted to learn more. How can I help people get back to life, the way Dr. Shelby, D.C. helped my dad, my superhero?
I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University. Later, received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University.
Often, patients have a preconceived notion of what chiropractic is. Education about injury and recovery are key. Of course, I love helping patients on their journey to healing, however, educating patients is where I take great pride.
Having the ability to provide quality healthcare services, particularly, to a patient that may not otherwise have access, is very fulfilling, and one of the many great aspects of working, and treating, with such a dynamic healthcare facility.
When I am not working, I am enjoying life and having fun! I have one son, Riley, who is almost 4 years of age. We spend most our time talking about dinosaurs and eating snacks. I love to try new foods, travel to new places, and explore new things! Life is an adventure. Get out there and enjoy it.
