Rehabilitation
During the acute phase of injuries, passive modalities may be utilized to help manage and reduce acute pain, hemorrhage (from damage of small blood vessels in the injured tissue), and inflammation. When appropriate it is important to transition the patients to active therapy, where various exercises are utilized to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Our offices are furnished with rehabilitation equipment that aids the patient in achieving these important goals to return the patient to their pre-injury status and reduce their chances of re-injury.
Injuries can forever alter how your body functions by restricting movement, reduced strength, reduced balance, and loss of tissue flexibility. Proper rehabilitation is key to a successful recovery. It will aid in alleviating pain, restore mobility, strength, and proper biomechanics to minimize long term effects of injury.
